A Candle Story

During lockdown, my brother turned 40, and I was going to miss his milestone birthday. Our dad — who passed away in 2013 — used to call him Piglet when we were kids. So I sculpted a pig, then figured out how to make it into a candle using the skills I already had from working as a professional make-up and prosthetics artist. It became his 40th birthday gift.

That piece lead to my first small collection of quietly characterful candle creatures — six are available here now, with more on the way.

These pieces are just the beginning. Alongside new candle designs, I’ll also be releasing sculpture-only collections in the same spirit — quiet, characterful, and a little offbeat.

My hope is that these candles bring a smile or a sense of quiet wonder into people’s spaces. I’ll continue creating themed collections in my own sculptural style — and I’m open to commissions too.
If you’re curious, feel free to get in touch — I’d love to make something unique together.
